Study in the Netherlands
There are two streams of higher education in The Netherlands: the universities, which are research-oriented, and universities of applied sciences ("hogescholen"). Both are four-year study programmes that are financed and fully recognized by the Dutch government. The quality of the study programmes is continuously monitored through external assessment and accreditation processes and inspection of the course contents.

This short film presents a day in the life of a student of a Dutch university of applied sciences. It illustrates the twofold mission of the Dutch universities of applied sciences: to offer highly rated education and applied research with a strong orientation to professional practice.

Study in Maastricht
Maastricht is situated at the heart of the Euregion Meuse-Rhine, where the borders of Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands meet. An excellent location for an international study programme! The city of Maastricht has everything a student could wish for: a beautiful and historic city centre, the river Meuse, a wide choice of shops, pubs, restaurants, cinemas, theatres and excellent sport facilities. Maastricht is a real students' city. The city is always bustling with activities, organized by international student organisations like AEGEE, AIESEC and ESN.
